So, I am looking into purchasing either a muffler or an exhaust system depending on the price. Things I am looking for are:
    -Price, Under $250
    -Tone, nothing ricey
    -Volume, noticeable but not obnoxious

So, please suggest your personal choices based on these criterion. My favorite thus far is the Aero Turbine, but my friend told me it didn't sound like a truck, so iffy on that one.

Thanks for the quick reply, would most muffler shops be willing to do this? Not exactly sure the process involved with swapping mufflers, so I am unsure as to how much effort they would be willing to put into it.

IMO anything with then 8 cylinders just doesn't sound right with high flow exhaust (I6 and Subaru Flat 4 lol) Every time I see a Taco with exhaust on it, its drivin by some douche with a backwards Monster hat and Tapout shit on just being obnoxious.

You got something against my tapout shirt?! Just playin', I just really want a nice sounding exhaust. The stock setup is very, very quiet.

Must be a lot of douches on this site then.

And you didn't help the OP with his question.

I say go Aeroforce2525, but personally I've been happy with my flow master 40.

Link to where I may purchase? Depending on installation, etc, this may be a route I take. It is an awesome idea.

Search for electric exhaust cutout. Installation is as simple as cutting out a section of the exhaust system, welding the cutout in place, and wiring it up.

Seen it done on a newer Corvette, pure sexs when he revs it.

    Yes
Flowmaster Super 40. Super 10 series if you want LOUD. I never noticed any power loss with both of these on my 4.0.

    Yes
I honestly don't think the 40 series is that loud. Noticeable, yes. I ran a 50 on my '04 2.7 and liked It also. Ran the 40 on my '08 for 3 years but wanted more. After some personal debate I got the 10 series and love it. Exhaust is all a matter of personal preference so only you can decide. I wanted to go the : throw XYZ muffler on there to see what I like, but the 3 shops I went to said they don't do that. Good luck!

Yes, the 2525 represents the inlet and outlet of the piping. So since our pipes are 2.5" stock, that's perfect. Some people like the 2525XL, XL stands for a resonator which will tone down the noise a little but will help fight drone.

If I were you I would get the 2525, with your stock tailpipe in tact. If it isn't loud enough, you can always start cutting it back towards the muffler to get the optimal loudness for your driving habits.

I have the 40 and i want a little bit more noise. I'm gonna try out a Super 44 that a budy is getting to me for free, and if that doesn't work out a 10 might be in my sights.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I think the Aero Turbine 2525 is the route I will end up going. It was my original choice and I thank everyone for concreting this choice.

I have the Aero and I think it sounds great. I spent lots of time trying to figure out what kind of exhaust I wanted. I checked out several websites with customer reviews to see if I wanted to go cat back or just a muffler. The Aero sounds like your best bet. Picked it up for $144 . When I opened up the box I was surprised it came with a new tip and a Jacket with their logo on the back. It does not resonate through the cab too much but it has a nice growl to it. I get lots of compliments on the exhaust.

only two I've had experience with is the flow master super 40 and a magnaflow both dual turn down and i like the magnaflow a lot better, super 40 at high rpm sounds really ricey
