    It comes with brushes too. Looks like a spare alternator would cost at least $100. Figure the regulator and brushes is the only part that really goes bad.

    What do you think about this for the starter? Alternately a reman starter is $65.

    Let me rephrase that. No other part of the alternator typically goes bad right? I know why I want a backup for my alternator and starter. :D
