Toytec actually recommended a 2" shackle for the rear with the billies and eibachs. But it seems not alot of people on here are going that route. Any good reason why not?

    Look at build!
As far as i understand shackles and blocks wear out leafs pre maturely. The best route to go is to re build your stock packs or buy new aftermarket ones such as allpoo or similar brand. Check my build for re build pics. & aal's only bandaid a bad or frowning leaf pack

I'm not sure, i told them what i wanted and i said i need to level the back with the front for a smooth ride. They recommended the 2" shackle for quality and more flew...

Shackles ant quite as bad as blocks but do put more more stress o. The rear of the leafs thus decreasing their lift. You also tend to loose load capcity with them. The good thing about em is you get much better droop with them for flexing.

I wouldn't really recommend them for stock leafs tho..

3" coil over suspension lift and 3" body lift on 35's.
No I've heard that the ome 882 rides stiffer. reason being, its a more heavy duty spring thus giving less comfort, rougher ride. thats why i went with eibach. as far as the billy, they ride very well for me (for a lifted truck anyway) i mean, its not a denali haha

+1...my stock leafs were super flat, and negatively arched in the rear due to the shackles.

So a better recommendation would be a 2" AAL?

Eibachs are a 620lb coil tho..882s are 550. And I think eibachs are longer too..

    Either way. Love em

ya that's what I'd go with Aside from new leaf packs

No, all your doing is using a donor pack and adding it to yours. As i said earlier check my build about 3 pages back and there should be pics of it on there and i gained a solid 1/2" from it plus a nice smiling leaf pack

its on page 47 if anyone else is trolling and wondering where the pics are.

so you just took the bottom 2 leafs off the donor pack and stuck them on the bottom of the stock leafs? do you have to use a new center bolt?

yes, new center pins/bolts are a must.

And throw in some poly bushings in the leafs and shackles while you are at it.

Yes and also new ubolts. & i put the 2 dakota leafs under my 2 top leafs then added back in my stock 3rd leaf to the bottom and dumped the stock overload.

I still have 1 more leaf im debating putting in there on top of the 2 dakota leafs but ill need longer shocks so its waiting but for now i love the ride and flex with these!
