I got another set of hella's for my bull bar. From looking at it, I think I match up the positive to the hellas to the fogs, then ground the hellas. the postive wire goes to the relay and then the wires from relay go to battery and ground. the yellow wire and blue on the relay is for the switch. the blue is ground. Just splice the switch wires to the right ones? Is this right?
Also do any of you know the what wires are what color from the fogs, and switch so i won't have to guess.

So your saying I don't need the relay. Just splice into the fogs and they will work with the fog switch. Idk what you mean when u said use that as a trigger for relay switch

    That'll work.

Fog switch controls the fogs, fogs trigger the Hella relay.

Adding the Hellas in parallel with the fogs will likely overload the factory harness.

The only time I used a relay is when I wired up my first hellas last year. Still not exactly sure. I need step by step lol. So splice into fog lights and run the positive wire from relay to the splice in fogs and hellas, and then the other wire from hellas ground?

Not sure what colors are what, but assuming the relay is a standard cube with 4 or 5 connections:

Pin 30 to inline fuse to battery. Two 100w lights can be safely powered using 12 gauge wire and a 20a fuse.
    Pin 87 to the Hellas.
Pin87a (if your relay has it) insulate it
Pin 85 to the stock fog positive
    Pin 86 to ground.

Im not sure about the numbers this is what came with mine. Red batteries. Blue ground. Yellow switch. Black hellas. and a green wire with fuse that goes from high beams to switch also
Now I just realized, what wire do I splice into fog lights to trigger relay.

Okay... The yellow will go to the hot on the stock fogs.
That's your switched lead. When the fogs are on, it'll close the relay and light up the Hellas.

They actually included a quality harness with your kit! I always end up having to make one.

Looks like you guys are doing well here.

Only thing that I'd like to be clear on is that OP isn't trying to add an additional switch to the dash. Is that right? Just want the new lights to come on with the factory fogs?

I think Rich has you going in the right direction OP. :cool:Wire it all up just like the kit's instructions say, the only exception being that you eliminate the separate switch they supply, and the green wire attached to it. The yellow wire will go directly to the positive lead at the OEM fog lights.

That looks beefy compared to what I've received from Hella in the past. Perhaps they have changed there ways? I have never been impressed with there wiring kits. Wiring diagram for 05-06. Not sure if 08 is the same. Looks like the fog positive wire going into the lights themselves should be a light green. In any case, white with black stripe is ground on Toyotas always, as far as I know. There should only be two wires at the lights.

Yep... my work here is done :D

Rich has some good wiring advice assuming Joe is correct in that you do not want the Hella's on their own switch

Thanks that worked well. I think they might have looked better if they were farther apart like on a light bar but this will do for now. I've got them pointed at the ground so I shouldn't get a ticket. Now only to save for a set of 265 75 bfg ko's and my build is done:D

Just so you know, you still might get a ticket. A lot of states only allow you to have 4 forward facing lights on at any given time. You have 6 so if the cop wants to give you a hard time, you've given him a reason to pull you over.

If they're aimed properly, you should be fine but you should check your local laws to find out if they're really legal or not.

Well for some reason my truck keeps getting me pulled over for nothing. Like my windows were down and he said my back ones were to dark and made me roll them up. I don't have tint just factory tint on back windows. Then he asked me if I had been turkey hunting, all I had was a .22 in the front seat. Some idiot. But ill cross that bridge when I get to it haha
