    I have yet to have any alternator issues related to my swamping trips. My starter has blown though. It's lower then the alt so makes sense.

    Last trip out we did loose two trucks to alternator issues, but that was from going through puddles that were 5" deep at 100mph.

    I have some of you drowning the poor truck in the woods by me. I remember Rich telling me..."he's LT so he sits much lower in the rear". That was at the blizzard ice fest.

    I remember that well. No skids + ice chunks = pucker factor!

    I'm swapping back to spring-over in the rear once my new axle gets here and I have the time to work on the thing. I called the guy in Florida last week to get the priority bumped up a bit. Tired of watching as the truck just sits and collects dust. :cool:

    No more racing for a good long while. Buying the house and rebuilding the diesel engine twice kind of broke the bank. That said, I'm gonna make sure work with my existing suspension hangers and shackles, so if/when the time comes to race again it's just a matter of fresh leaf springs a welding spring perches on the other side of the axle housing. I can do that in an afternoon.

    LOL at the casting. :D

    The guy shattered his heel when he fall off of some scaffolding in his shop, which happened 2 weeks after his last chemo treatment. I would have been suspicious if my uncle didn't know the guy personally. I told him there was no rush on the thing, which was/is the truth, but I called him last week to let him know that I'm ready to install stuff as soon as I get the assembly. He admitted that he had it off to the side and figured he'd get back to work once I called requesting it be completed.

    Seems that all shops building custom stuff are the same so it's expected. I ain't even mad -- no fabricateraid here. I'd just like to drive my truck again. :cool:
