Entune

Hey wasn't sure if this came up already but, I thought the entune system was to have I heart radio. I know that a few other cars have it on there system why not the tacoma?

 

Download the app to your phone and stream it from there. Is it supposed to be on the Entune dashboard? Its not on mine, I just have it on my iPhone & stream it via Bluetooth.

 

theres a base and a premium entune system..Tacomas come with the non premium, of course.
THe premium has more apps (heart/open table etc) and it lets you connect via bluetooth to your phones internet instead of having to use the usb for it.

I'm hoping down the road premium units become avail on ebay to swap out f they fit from maybe a 4runner or something....mainly so i don't have to use the damn cable to get traffic.

 

Android phones use a different Bluetooth and do not require the cable. That was one plus switching from my Iphone 4

 

Received thumb drive for updates, I want to know why it can't read text my wife's 2008 ford sync does it, this system sucks, no info ie fuel mileage but I now have I heart radio that I don't need.

 

Ability to read text lies with the phone, not entune. What phone do you have?

 

Droid bionic.

 

Texts and emails require that the phone have MAP bluetooth technology, which alot of phones don't have yet, unless you have an iphone.

 

The newest update that came out earlier this month, will put Iheart radio on your dash.
