New Tires on her, and just brought her to the shop today to have the timing chain and all the belts done first time in 200,000. I didn't know I was suppose to do it every 100k

 

Pic of the led lights. The roll was a perfect fit for the bed, it's under the lip of the camper shell except for the front two corners where I had to make the sharp bend and it points back on a couple of the leds.

 

That looks sick.

I got clear corners and signals up front, Spyder tail lights, and a steal on a camper cover.

I already had a waterproof 12v outlet in the drivers rear corner of the bed. So I just wired up a male cigarette lighter plug that has a switch on it to the leads of the led strip.

You know what my next advice is...

...get rid of all the badges, pinstripes and decals.

LOL my friend says that to me all the time.

The PO at one time had a slide in camper and had a 5 wire plug for it in the corner. I had no need for it so I swapped it for a waterproof 12v outlet, the fused 12v power was already run just had to connect it up.

 

Thanks guys! I kind of like the step boards though. It would look better with bigger tires, but the ones I have now give me great mpg and have like 60,000 or more left on them.

 

Lucky bastid... I would really love some power back there.

 

Yeah stay stock on the tires is my advice.

I'm loving the 23-24 mpg I'm getting right now and my truck has gone up any trail I've ever gone up... and come down too, most importantly.

 

How the F are you getting 23-24!?!? Its a v6 right? 31 inch tires too.

 

The outlet was $10, then you'd need about 20ft of wire and a fused link to the battery.

I drive lightly, try to drive at a constant speed and am lucky enough not to have too much stop and go traffic.

And I keep it well maintained.

Don't be fooled by that 20.8 in my sig. That's a total for a few years now, includes winter gas, etc...

My running total (last 10 fill ups) is 23 mpg and got a best 24.4 mpg last fill up.
