what youre doing when you use those cleaners and polishes on yellow headlights is removing the factory clear coat that protects the plastic...when you do this you should apply wax because it protects from UV rays...

Sure do! They're Hyperdrive buckets (they're hard to get in, but look great)! :D ha ha

I built the brackets out of flat iron and rivetted out the 4 stock mounts and just welded it together and bolted the sliders on the flat iron! Painted it up black and bolted in! The seats are REALLY comfortable, too!

I was hoping I could pick mine up today. Shop said it's in Utah but not at the shop :annoyed:

So how many cans of each spray did you need?

20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
I still have to do the shift boots and trim but I've used less than a can of the dye and paint. Get one of each and you'll probably be good to go. The flat black dye is a great color too. Not dull but not glossy.

I should have everything painted and reassembled tonight after work. Still need to clean the passenger seat but then it's all getting put in the truck. Might be a long night tonight.. :p

Okay cool. So by the looks of it, you chose glossy instead of flat or am I wrong? :notsure:

I did flat black for the vinyl dye and satin black for the krylon fusion plastic paint. Even the flat black does have some shine to it tho. But it matches the satin plastic paint very well IMO

Ah I see. Looks good. I think I'm gonna go with flat for both the dye and paint :D

That's what I was planning on doing too but the place where I got the dye didn't have any flat black in stock and I really wanted to get this project started

Yes they're fully waterproof, got them from Amazon a month ago. Looks like the price went up a couple $ still a good deal IMO.

Oh heck yeah, that was my original plan of mounting. The wildernest camper shell has a large lip on it and I don't plan on removing it so I just mounted them to the shell itself.

I got a male cigarette adapter that had a switch on it and solder it directly to the leads on the led strip. Plugs right into the 12v outlet in the bed. :D

    Nice! How'd it turn out?

I like that Krylon fusion look... is that flat?

That's why I applied the headlight sealer/clear coat as the final step.

I might take mine apart and redo it. It's too glossy for me.

When it's all done can you get pictures of it in your truck?

The dye is flat black and the krylon is satin black. It matches pretty well I think. I need to wash the passenger seat but then I'll be ready to do the swap. It'll be late tonight or early tomorrow when everything is finished up. I'll be sure to get some pics.

    ...too much shit to list.
Might wanna double check the fan clearance on the bottom part of the shroud.
I had to do some emergency surgery on the side of the road over the weekend.
