x2 i think i read that on pinkbike.

If the 1x11 makes its way to x9 I might try it but otherwise its gonna be so expensive.

Much debate on this, who actually came up with the design first. I have ridden the DW link on a Pivot and a Turner, I like the Maestro better...but that's personal preference.

i like that site...shipping is expensive though. I was about to order a royal racing jersey and shipping is almost as much as the jersey...

Once I got used to them on my hardtail, I loved them. But it did take some time. I also had to adjust them to the right angle a couple of times until it felt right. When I got my Stumpjumper, I decided I'd wait to put them on, and the Specialized grips were so awesome I didn't need them.

225-230lbs...haven't broken it yet. Of course, part of the problem with my weight is I don't ride it enough, so...

    Yeah.
LOL, no, they didn't have full suspension when my buddy broke those 2 frames. Heck, they were just coming out with the first suspension forks then. That was over 20 years ago. My fear is unwarranted. I really like the Specialized FS 29ers.

What tires are you guys using? I just picked up a second set of Kenda Nevegals last night. They wear a little quick for me so I was trying to see what some of you guys use.

I've been using Bontrager tires, and I've been very happy with them

    Yeah.
+1, Bontrager has stepped up their game on tires. I just put a set of the new XR4's (Team Issue TLR) running tubeless on my Fuel EX, and they are very predictable. Since they are the Team Issue, they are pretty sticky and probably won't last as long as I would like, but we'll see. The previous XR4's were way oversized, but they worked pretty well.

On my Sawyer 29er I run the 29.3 setup (larger front than rear, front and rear specific treads), and I just converted that to tubeless. The Bontrager TLR setup seems to work really well and was easy to do.

That said, I have run a few sets of Nevegals and they are very similar to the XR4. Good all-around tire.

    Yeah.
I agree not exactly, but they are the same basic design with pivots moved around to get a different wheel path for different purposes, and there's a lot of marketing hype around everyone's implementation of the general design. There are several designs that fall into the general "virtual pivot point" category, and DW Link, VPP and Maestro are all examples of that. That's not opinion, that's just plain fact.

They all have different characteristics, and people have different preferences -- like the previous poster said, he likes the Maestro the best.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
Well, my much awaited upper link from Push Industries for my SC Nomad came in today.....STOKED! More info about the link HERE

    CameraZOOM-20120712140555654-picsay_413c600c267ab7301604d7d06ea854d3addf3bf1.jpg

Better believe it was on my bike within minutes of opening the box! :D

Only way to see if my $214 investment worked was to load up the bike and hit the trail! This is my cousin's Tacoma and Syndicate SC Blur LT Carbon & of course my Nomad Carbon.

    CameraZOOM-20120712174249168-picsay_a267fc8402c436eb408b7fdde40ea0f284a9a0b6.jpg

    1ST RUN THOUGHTS:

    :eek::eek::eek:

Everything Push Industries advertised about this upper link was ALL TRUE. My RC4 was transformed into a different shock, and I haven't even retuned it!!! It was so much more buttery through the doubles, high speed bumps(big and small) that my sense of speed was thrown WAY OFF. Tracking under heavy breaking was way more stable. The RC4 just felt a lot more plush overall through EVERYTHING---no more hanging feeling on the rough stuff.

I found myself hitting switchback turns way too hot bc I was blasting through the trails that much faster. $214 justified? HELL YES. IMO, if you have a Nomad MkII, this upper link is a no brainer if you're running a Fox coil RC4 in the back.

In comparison to my SC V10 Carbon, the Nomad feels like a "V10 jr." now. It's ridiculous. With the Nomad weighing 32.8lbs EVEN WITH the monster Fox 40's in the front, I really believe I built one of my all time favorite bikes. Climbs, descends like my V10(albeit slightly less travel in the back), and is a competent trail bike despite the bigger turning radius with the dual crown.

    for Push Industries!

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
He's great friends with a Syndicate rider, so we have a constant source for ridiculously cheap high end (sponsored) parts season after season. Not a bad deal if I should say so myself haha.

After feeling how the Push Industries upper link completely transformed my Nomad, he fully regrets ever selling off his Syndicate Nomad lol. Those are even more rare to come across than my Syndicate V10.
