So I started the Stronglifts 5 x 5 routine this week. Will be posting results through the 12 week period that the workout suggests. Had a couple questions though.

When doing the barbell rows, do you guys keep your back at a 90 degree angle or 45 degree angle. I have seen videos both ways. Also, how wide do I grip when doing these

Second question, have any of ya'll attempted/done this routine, if so, did you see results?

You do get results....I get bored though. I can't do that same shit for 12 weeks. Especially low rep shit. I've gotta get the intensity in there to keep my head in the game and my body in the best shape possible.

I grip overhand (keeping the bicep out of the equation) slightly wider than shoulder grip width.

Would you say you grip it just as you would bench press, or is that too wide?

started squats @ 135 (that was June 23rd), just the bar and one 45 lb weight on each side a few weeks ago, up to 160 lbs today. Not much I know. Takin' it easy, as am also training for the Tough Mudder in october.

I just really hope the running doesn't mess with me trying to GAIN weight, but I'm pretty sure the cardio will hinder it. Slowly working my way up towards an 8 mile run. Freakin' stoked about the event!!

Any workout suggestions to help with carrying/maneuvering a 28' (14' when collapsed) fiberglass ladder for work? The ladder is about 60lbs for telecom work.

    Thanks!

Hey, 135 to 160 isn't bad! At all!

Like I said, I just get bored as fuck. That 90 second rest, I feel dumb standing around, I've gotta be pushing my body harder then I can take. I can't not go to the gym...it takes more will power to stay out of the damn place then it takes to go there!!!

I'm gonna take the next few days, do a little cardio rowing and such and then Monday start the high rep, short rest 10x10 loveliness again. I can't wait for the pain.

And for you guys doing 5x5, there is an app for that!

ah thanks. one thing that really bugged me today though was that I couldn't bench the same weight, only managed 4 reps.

Last week I managed just fine with 155 on the bench. 5x5

    Not today though. :/

Started out both at the same weight, squats and bench. It just sucks that my chest can't keep up with my legs. But yea, I know, the legs are much larger muscles.
