The officer was killed by a drunk driver going the wrong way on that stretch of 95.

 

Dude... A little respect. A 23 yr decorated officer and father of 3 was killed off duty by a drunk driver.
IMO they can shut down whatever they want too.

Guys..I have respect. The OP didnt say nor does it matter how he was killed. He was killed doing his job. A job that none forced him to do...a job he chose.

And no...they wouldnt shut down an Interstate no matter how many were coming to a civilians funeral.

I dont really understand, I didnt say let people interfere with a funeral procession, thats a ticketable offense everywhere. But close 3-4 lanes for a procession that needs one lane, thats just silly.

Or an asshole, or a douche? I never said a bad word about the officer, or the situation in general. I mereely said they wouldnt do that for a civilian, and I dont think they would. Oh well. If you disagree say so. But resorting to namecalling and neg rep is silly. Once again all I said is they wouldnt do that for us. They should be held to the same standard and follow the same rules as we all do. Simple.

 

Have you ever been in a funeral procession? A big one at that? It doesn't take one lane. And especially on a highway. I know that if I see a funeral passing by, I move over to the side of the road, no matter where I am.

 

Civilians don't put their life on the line to save yours.

 

Please enlighten me as to where I "bashed" a funeral procession. Once again I merely said they would not shut down an Interstate for a civilians funeral.

Clearly not bashing. I stated an opinion on the road closure. Bashing the funeral procession would be saying "he deserved it" or "those fucker were in my way on the way to work" or something along those lines. For the record, none of which I said.
