Penn State is gonna pay big time. Maybe enough to cripple the school. I am sure they will pass the expense to the students in the long run. It sucks that students will end up paying the damages for those who covered up for Sandusky. Now the NCAA talks about a death sentence for the football program. That will punish the students more than the university. I say give funds raised from football to the victums and let them keep playing.

I think it went a little further than that. Penn state (the students) will pay for a long time.

Actually...it's the tax payers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who will be paying. As Penn State is a public University.

Civil law suits will total in the hundreds of millions. The university most likely does not have that kind of money.

And as its reputation has been destroyed, enrollment and alumni endowments will suffer.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    True story
Couldn't agree more...like back in 1998 when the DA did not pursue charges against Sandusky. That is when shit should have been done.

I cannot express in words how I feel about the the School's President, AD, Head Coach, and other administrators knowing of these crimes against children back in 98 and covered it up to save face & their reputation.

No amount of lawsuit will be enough. As said, the victims paid a price far more than money.

To not think the school will suffer, I suggest reading up on the Clery Act.

Football is the least of their worries imo.

    Horrible.

I'm sick of this, the only thing worse than that sick fuck destroying these young men's lives, is the fact that we have to see and hear about it every fucking day for a year.

Try living 20 minutes from there. Try driving by one of the High Schools that it happened in EVERY DAY. A high school that my nephew goes to and that my other nephews and nieces and cousins will go to.

Ben, I am so sorry to hear that. :(
    And yes this happens everywhere.
I have had adult friends, both men & women, who have suffered through abuse such as this as kids.
A few years ago, I had a very good friend, a coworker, who experienced a sexual assault, and the higher ups covered it up, tried to intimate her, all in the name of the agency.
    The scumbag still works there.
They sent him overseas for a period of time.
    Unfortunately he came back.

This topic really strikes a nerve with me.
    Silence=death.
To not talk about it is akin to saying it doesn't exist. Nothing to see hear.
    It makes me sick.
