    There is no "weight" in metric, only mass.

    You would "weigh" 22 kg on the Moon just as you would weigh 22 kg on Earth where as you would weigh 48.4 lbs on Earth and about 8 pounds on the Moon. Weight is relative to location.

    Actually I think that may be a correct answer as well.

    I was thinking of Newtons, which is something only scientist or mechanical engineers would be concerned with.

    Technically weight has a different meaning than mass. Mass is how much matter is in an object. Weight is the force due to gravity acting on that mass. 1 Kg mass on earth is also 1 kg mass on the moon. But it weighs 9.8 Newtons on earth and only 1.6 Newtons on the moon.

    But since we are on Earth, common everyday use is grams/kg or pounds to describe how heavy something is.

    English unit of mass is the slug.
