I got back from a 500 mile road trip Thursday and the next morning I hear a loud rattling noise coming from under the truck from the drivers side. Turns out one of the hose clamps holding the catalytic converter covers let go and the covers are rattling. Thought the damn truck was falling apart but one new hose clamp later and all is well.

Went to pick up a set of bilsteins and CO springs from a '12 trd OR. Nothing special, but better than the sr5 shocks and springs, not to mention mine are all original (around 80k on them) and these were never really driven on. Came off a truck that was lifted before the owner took it home. And it was all free!

used it to haul home some stronger fenceposts and 8- 50lb bags of concrete...gust of wind bout took my fence over this week. looks like the builders only sank the beams about a foot, i'll be digging it down another 12-18 inches on top of that.

    depending on your soil type...

concrete at the bottom of a fence post can do more harm than good. The concrete retains moisture and assists in the rot of the post.

the best fence post is one that is dug deep into the ground 3-4', for a post up to about 6 foot. The deeper the better.

If you have hard rocky soil, concrete is helpful but will still assist in wood decay. in softer soils or sandy soils...the concrete is useless.

And if you are going to use the concrete in that harder soil, I recommend wrapping the bottom of the post with a moisture barrier like 30# felt (tar paper) prior to pouring the concrete around the bottom of the post. Or treat it with a tar based foundation sealer.

good luck with your project.

Finally got my brakes fixed. I have 4,500 miles on my new 2011 DC SR5 4X4 that I bought new this past February.

I have had problems from day one. Peddle had to be pumped up before driving because I had trouble stopping and many times when stopped at red lights I had to pump them. Took it in once to dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong. Then while backing into my driveway I almost couldn't stop and came very close to hitting my wife's car.

I took it back to the dealer again and told the guy that writes up the order that the brakes really suck and are very dangerous. He then got behind the wheel and felt the brake peddle and said that it did not feel right.

When they were finished fixing it he told me that the original front disks were warped so they turned the disks and replaced the pads. This "DID" fixed the problem!!!!

I have read on here that others have had the same problem and can't seem to get it fixed. If you are one of these take it back to the dealer and have them see if yours has the same problem mine had.

It is on some trucks but not on yours.

They used to have the ABS module there but yours is likely built into the master cylinder.
