Okay, can you get through Hogs back in a stock truck? Sure wish you were driving down for this. Since you now Browns the best

lol, I still give that to Bobert - I get lost more.

Unless Joe indicates otherwise, the last time we went through the blue part of Hogs, it was just stupid tight. Frustrating due to many multi-point turns. No other obstacle.

The hill climb of Hogs is very short, you can see the whole thing from the road to scope it out. You might need a bit of height from a lift these days, but take a look and try it out. One year we had the easy group go here and they just took this trail about 5 times, lol - they didn't want to go anywhere else.

I don't know what your crowd is ready to do, but instead of Hog's blue I would actually recommend Bates road if you can hustle over there. I've only been once, but from what I remember it is a long steady hill climb to some amazing views. It's damn steep but nothing is going to reach out and grab you. The black part is a short section at the end, I'd say have the most capable rig do a quick scout-out, but I think it's only marked black for the steepness?

The next logical difficulty is probably University FP. It's a real solid blue for difficulty, mainly just watch how close you get to stuff (trees) and you are gold.
Cedar Tree is getting torn up and is getting into black territory for some spots.
Archer's can maybe be a bit much for stock... and definitely too long for an afternoon.

As long as I'm not forced into off camber situations or putting dents in my truck due to trees I'm good. That being said, I'm not afraid to have a little fun, just like to keep my truck clean :) I need to hit L&D before I leave here and get an OHV permit I guess. They open at 9. I should be able to get to Vernonia within 45 minutes from here. I don't have my CB installed yet, may see if I can borrow handheld since I doubt you got cell service there. I'll plan on 11.

Brian, the trails listed I think are the easiest in the area.

I keep checking this a week too late! I wanna go to Brown's Camp! I go to Oregon State University and none of these college kids have the nuts (or trucks) to make a trip out there. Might also try Government Camp but still don't want to go all by my lonesome. Anyone else in the neighborhood want to make a trip? I'm down to go this weekend.

Bobert goes to OSU as well but I think he took summer term off and is back home right now. Cameron and Lee does as well but they're not Taco owners..Cameron has 4runner and Lee used to have a FJ but now he has a 1st gen 4runner and a STI. Check in on the Oregon and Washington BS thread and see what plans we got. I know Zach(04LTtacoma) is wanting to go to TSF beginning of September. This thread doesn't really get looked at unless we have something planned and that's when it gets updated by the OP Mike(Chickenmunga) or gets bumped.

You don't need to be anyone special to create an event, either. Just motivation :p
I'll get more serious about something after I get back from this weekend, but I'm going to be voting for Washington locales :D

    Updated first post.
I'm thinking we do the more obscure trails out there, or stuff that we never made all the way through. Suggestions:

    Truck Dent
    Bates Road
    Ample & Alluring
    Mini Rubicon
    Rocky Uphill

As long as we are talking about the Sept 1st trip, I'll be there. Got a CB and I'll hopefully get my CBI rocksliders shipped and installed by then. Getting my DT shorties put on as we speak!!! :D

Question: Is there a campsite nearby? We will be tent camping for a few days I think.

I might be able to go this Saturday but same boat as Zach no sliders.
Hopefully I will have them before Sept 1st!
