Just purchased the Hella Black Magic 500 from Autopicity for $100 at the door. Can't wait to put em behind my new grillcraft. I'll post the pics when it's all hooked up.

    Hi all.

    Finished the break-in today - 1600 km - 3 1/2 months.
    - Varied the speed as much as possible.
    - 10 to 300 km - 2000 rpm max and less than 1/4 throttle - gentle braking
    - 300 to 800 km - 2200 and 1/4 throttle
    - 800 to 1600 km - 2500 and 1/3 throttle
I can now check out the power and take cruise control trips.

Did the first service today - Will be considered the 6 month/8000 km Oil and Filter Service (I won't get anywhere near 8000 in 6 months so all my services will be done on the time parameter).
    - Replace oil and filter - Mobil 1 and a Toyota filter (switched to full synthetic from the conventional that she came with from the factory - all subsequent changes will be Mobil 1)
    - Pull and inspect air filter
    - Lubricate latches and hinges (I use this spray lube from Toyota called Flexi-Film - works great)
    - Check all lights, horn and wipers/washers
    - Check fluids in engine bay - coolant, brake, power steering, and washer (I check these every week with the engine oil level anyway)
    - Check tire pressures (times 5), tread depth (times 4), and lug nut torques (80 foot #'s)

The items listed above are from Toyota oil and filter service (except the tread depth and lug nut torque). I added these items below.

    - Check oil levels in transfer case and both diffs
    - Pull and clean crap out of cabin air filter
    - Check for leaks from any and all sources in engine bay and underneath

I got 4 free oil changes at my dealer with the extended warranty but I can't bring myself to let anyone else put their fingers in her holes right now. I may have to let them do some of the items on the first maintenance service in 18 months though.

    Cheers
    Ray.

I love those tires. Gonna scrap some copper I got laying around and that will be enough for 1/2 the cost. I'll spring for the rest!!! You got me all jacked up now

Got my trail grapplers put on today and a alignment done, after leaving the parking lot I realized I had a serious rubbing issue so as soon as I got home I pulled the front wheels back off and did the cab mount chop. Still got a lil bit of trimming to do on the inner fender but the cab mount is clear

Also changed my oil for first time at 1500 miles and it was BLACK. Surprised how fast that oil broke down during the break-in period.

You put it on well. I don't like other M in Tacoma, but it's not bad. You should put up a pic showing more of your truck to see how it goes with the rest of it.
