Went and road the Virginia creeper trail from white top to Damascus with the family today

My bike is the yellow specialized

It is a 2009 specialized rockhopper comp had the handle bars replaced after the recall on them and new grips and pedals (platforms).

I like it a lot, rides well. I don't ride as much as I would like, but oh we'll

By the way, did I have enough bikes on the taco? (there is one more in the bed)
one on top, 3 on the bed, 3 on the back, and one in the bed

I think that it I had enough of the right racks, I could fit 4 on the bed, 3 on the roof, and 2 in the bed and 3 on the hitch

It is an ABS undercover tonneau. I bought tracks, landing pads, towers, and cross bars from yakima. Followed the directions and just drilled holes in the plastic.

No reinforcement, just the nuts on the bottom of them that came with the rack system.

Im happy with it. Just double and triple check your measurements.

It turned out to work very well for my purposes.

It feels pretty solid, I had 3 bike racks on there today. 2 fork mounts and a front wheel on mount. Driving down the interstate didn't do anything to it. I would hesitate to put any kind of rack on there. One guy has on here has 2 bike racks and a Yakima basket.

I paid about 350 for it, not including the bike racks. I bought the hardtop kit on rackattack.com, it has everything in the lot to set up the entire base rack.

Nice setup. Noticed you have a Yakima set of bars across the bed AND a cover. How did you set that up? I have the Toyota cross bars and Thule trays on mine now but I've been looking to replace the setup with a bed cover but haven't been able to figure out how to do both cover and bars. What's the trick?

I set it up just like a person would do a jeep hard top

It's just Yakima tracks mounted to the bed cover

    Yeah.
I am not a 29er fanboy and love riding my Fuel EX9, especially in the tight technical and sketchy downhill stuff. But, for any of you 29er unbelievers, here's a shot from a race yesterday. I was riding my Gary Fisher Sawyer old-school CroMo 29er.

That's me behind a 10 year old girl that I had been chasing her for about a mile at this point. She is riding a Niner and is no bigger than a minute. I chased her for about 3 miles before I could pass, and together we passed at least 5 other riders. I don't know who was pushing who! I finished in the top half of my class, so I wasn't slacking.

Here's one of my friends (also on a 29er) on the fast downhill part of the course, this is where we make up time on the spandex guys.
