Today's project has officially kicked my ass. I am beat. Built and stained these offset screens to hide the yard junk from the rest of the yard. Now for beer and pizza. :D

I've been thinking about getting a cb radio for the truck, but not sure I want to mount one in the cab. Anyone use a handheld unit? They seem to be more expensive, but can avoid the cost of install and exterior antennae.

A few on here have but the range is bad. Sometimes in a larger group you can't even hear the guy in front. I think some you can get with the option to mount a magnet antenna on the roof when using it. But I have no experience with those.

Check out this website. I have the Uniden package that is $65. It worked really well with those FJ guys. I just removed the coin tray left of the steering wheel and stuck it in there. I have my antenna mounted to my rack though.

I have the uniden you posted up and it works great with the fire stick I have. When Eric was in the back talking I was still able to pick him up.

I have the one in this link and with the auto tranny I ran the mic piece out of a cubby on the right side below the steering wheel. Antenna connect is under the center console and then I keep a mag mount antenna under the back seat. I just put it on the roof when we go wheeling.

OAR is a band, if you look them up I'm sure you will have heard one of the most popular songs at least once. The wife loves them, myself I like reggae mostly

The concert is on OAR right now on "AXS" channel 131 on dish. It's called OAR: live on the rocks.

I haven't gotten a CB set up in my Tacoma yet so I just use the Motorola hand held two-way radios (bought them for backcountry snowboarding).

They were just fine for me. Usually wheeling with two or three other trucks and never really a mile apart.
