Not only that... there's not even an OTC snorkel available for the 2nd Gen. What you see done are 1st Gen (or FJ?) mods.

 

I know you can do the MT setup with out the fiberglass so that might be the route you wanna do, just be sure the tires you go with won't be rubbing on the fender wells under full compression

 

Truck looks good man hoping to get mine there within the next couple of months. Are those the factory leafs you have on? Or replacement stock leads? I have my stock leads and am thinking of replacing them cause they are shot and are making more of a wavy "W" the an arch but im wondering if the 3 leaf progressive pack with be good enough. Are you tires the authority a/t's? sorry for all the questions and talk it's rare for me to see another 95-97 reg cab and when I do I tend to ask shit tons of questions.

 

Yeah they're the factory leafs. I was wondering if the 3 leaf would be enough too, but it seems to do the trick for now. The wildernest shell weighs about 300lbs so the stockers were sagging with it installed. Tires are the walmart authority's, only put about 10k miles on them but they've been great so far.

 

I don't have a shell in the back to maybe that will do for the time being till I replace my leafs with aftermarket stock ones. My brother has those on his 2nd gen a lot of people think they aren't great cause they are Walmart tires but they have held their own when we've gone wheelin also a great tire in my opinion.

 

You talking about the black plastic pieces ? It's been done but it will expose a bunch of mounting holes.

 

I'd leave the body as is. it looks real good to me

trip up to monatque for lunch then for flat rock for some water cross dusty as hell up there yesturday. testing out the new billies which i used to try to avoid bumps now i look for every bump in the road to hit rides so nice

Only problem with manual locks was dropping the transfer in 4low then realizing after being buried halfway in a pit that "OOO shit did I lock the hubs?". Did that one too many times with my 90 6lug pretaco. Only down side to manual hubs....

MAYBE PC the spokes in gunmetal or satin black, but the rim and center cap need to remain aluminum.
