Hey there, I have a 2012 OR 4x4 DCSB auto v6. It has roughly 2500 miles on it and I notice that the faceplate on my radio gets extremely hot. Has anyone else noticed this on their truck?

I can tell that my 2005 was somewhat warm, but not to sound dumb but were you driving for awhile or was it sitting with the sun beating on it?

Yea that's the first thing I thought, but i check it at night as well and it's still super warm. Also, the face is pointed towards the back of the truck so the sun never really touches the actual face.

The weird thing is that once you move your hand off the face of the radio (to another part of the center area) it feels normal. It's really strange.

I have a 2012 as well, almost 3,000 miles. My stereo gets really hot too, almost to the point of making me wonder if something's wrong. If ya'll find out a reason for this, please post!

Mine gets hot but not burning hot.

The day i tried it........ its been pretty hot here too, over 100 degrees, and the dash was sort of facing the sun...I got in started the truck had AC on #2 setting and let it play for 20 minutes while doing something in the garage. Hopped back in and put the back of my hand on the radio face adn all around it.

I wouldnt leave my hand there, but I definately didnt think it was burning hot. It was warm and really warmer than my wifes sienna radio, but I am not concerned with mine. I will keep and eye (hand) on it from time to time.

I would say get your checked out by a dealer and have the piece of mind.
