The thing about having a cool boss is you have to be a cool employee. Always be worth more to the company than the company pays you. There will be companies that will take advantage of this and you will leave them; but when you find the right company that appreciates this you will never want to leave them. I'm lucky enough to have found this pretty early.

The other day I was at best buy and I saw a gut buying 5 new HD TVs, 6 galaxy tablets, 4 pairs of beat headphones, and a bunch if other stuff. So I get to talking to him and he was buying all that stuff from give aways at his company. So of course I ask if he's hiring. Thats why I applied at that car auction place...

^ Smart move; work for someone who rewards hard work. My Dad spent 14 years at a place that really didn't seem to give a damn about him when he left. On his last day nobody from admin said thanks, walked him out, bought him lunch, or even gave him a thank you card. Don't spend your life somewhere that doesn't give a damn about your life.

I'm quitting tomorrow. My company sucks balls, their "free" insurance is a high deductible ($5,000) and they contribute $250 a year to my 401k. That didn't stop the owner of the company to give us pay cuts and build him a brand new 8,000 sq ft house 1/4 mile away from their main office.

No rain for me and you even rode the bike over. The rain got close yesterday but fell apart.
I had to unroll the hose yesterday after you left.

I tried the best I could; usually riding the bike with around a 10-30% chance of rain is a pretty good guarantee to rained on. I did find a couple of grade A idiots on the way home though. I almost ate the back of a tractor trailer that didn't have any trailer lights. He slowed down for a second and then nailed the brakes. Me and the truck behind me both had to lock up the tires to keep from hitting him.

That's how my job is now. I try to do the most possible I can. But I'm still not getting paid as much as I wish I would

That is where you have to make yourself more of an asset to the company so the company will want to pay you more. I laughed at a buddy's teenage son a couple weeks ago who was complaining about only making minimum wage flipping burgers. I explained to him how non-skilled labor gets non-skilled pay. He just thought it was bullshit until I asked him how I would feel if he made the same money I do.

thats why a cringe ever time they raise min wage. last time they did that my wife (who stays home) said thats good. i said wait a second think about it. what i make as a mechanic for airplanes will not increase because of this. but when you go to the store to buy grocery's they will cost more because it cost more to put them on the selves. which means in the near future that that increase for the minimum wage earners wont amount to anything and the curve of inflation well most likely go past the increase of pay.
