So a thief broke into my truck here in Houston and stole my ultraguage( ripped the wires out of it and left the wires)... Stole my pistol (springfield xd40 subcompact), and a brand new 3 day old Nokia camera that cost us 350.well what a birthday present for me... Anyways. Tomorrow we leave for seattle... Without our protection, scanguage, and memories we made...

dafuq? i have geico and i hate them. everything you do with them turns into a clusterfuck and you dont get anything out of them. unfortunately, im not sure any other insurance company is any better.

is there any recourse you have? i know MA has an accident appeals court or something like that where you can dispute the outcome of what happened and an arbitrator will decide what happens. but that doesnt seem right, you buy insurance to protect your truck and the things inside your truck. i mean, if you have a 500-1000 dollar deductible you may not see much money, but if you have a low deductible you should be able to get most of the money lost back, i dont agree with GEICO's decision on this matter. if you filed a police report, geico as your insurance company has a duty to follow up on that and make a decision based on their policies to act within your insurance policy limits. if you have comprehensive insurance, this should be covered minus your deductible.
