Sorry about losing the stuff OP. Hopefully your gun shows up when some idiot gets pulled over because his beater car is dragging half the bumper down the road and he gets searched after they discover he has a warrant, then they find the stolen gun shoved in his seat, along with the camera and ultragauge in the backseat.

 

I hate criminals and I don't understand their logic. If they think it's okay to steal from people, why don't they think everyone should steal from them back and their families? Like how about the banks just steal their money? How about their boss just steal their pay? Or their doctor steal their stuff when they are getting their enema? Fking scourge of the earth and what is exactly what is wrong with civilization, u'd think we'd advanced beyond this kind of shit...

I pay less than 1200 a year full coverage 50 comp and 500 collision with USAA

 

Check homeowners or renters policy to see if personal belongings are covered while in the vehicle. If your camera was purchased with a credit card, check to see whether there might be insurance of some kind from the card company.

 

USAA they are here for you (military) and on the plus side WASHINGTON is amazing you will love it there

Sorry about the property loss OP. Dumb question, but your saying your truck locks after 3 mins if you leave it unlocked? Pretty sure mine does not do that. I have left mine unlocked at home, and it does no lock itself. Something new for 2012? Now if I unlock it, and don't open the door within 30 secs, it locks itself again.

 

^^ My truck does the same with re-locking after 30 seconds if you don't open the door. Also I have noticed that if you have a door open and use your key fob to lock it the doors will not lock. The key fob will only lock the doors once they are all closed. I always hit my lock on the door before getting out becuase I've left my car unlocked using the key fob. Take a couple of minutes today to sit and see what your truck does and make a habit/ ritual (Not OCD but helps) everytime you get out so you know it's locked. Sorry about the break in!

 

I don't think so...I have a 2012 and left my doors (intentionally) unlocked this weekend while working outside -- they definitely never automatically locked themselves.
