    Discovered a electrical issue today...

What will cause the dash lights to be on when the headlights/running lights are off? If i turn the running lights on, dash goes out and makes for a dark ride in the cab at night..

Have not had any kinda issue like this before, was fine last night/this morning.

Was finally able to wash my truck today, the absence of rain is much appreciated. I also started on my Rear diff breather mod, i just need to get some tubing now, install my union and run the breather to the bracket i installed in the rear storage compartment, i didn't just want it sitting in there, wanted more of a finished look.

Cluster lights are on any time the ignition is on.
When you turn on your headlights, the green light bulb indicator lights up, and the stereo/HVAC lights come on.

    Is your dimmer turned up?

Like he said. Same thing happened to me until you realize the gauge lights are on all the time. When the lights are turned on the gauge light power goes through the dimmer control and if it is turned down low you will get exactly the symptoms you describe. it generally only takes one time for this to happen and then on we know what it is.

I agree with skipping the deflector. I took mine off 2 years ago. In that time, I have zero rock chips on the hood or windshield. I do however have huge chips left over from where the OEM deflector was mounted. It was fine for a little while, but the padding wore out in no time at all. I say skip the deflector altogether.
