took me and the dealer alot work, to get one with the flooring had to do some out of region trade before truck was even built still waitin on truck should be here next week can't wait. for people that use there trucks as trucks rubber floor is the only way to go! but the floor liners in my 07 did great, before it was hit at 50+ mph (i was stopped at red light) this is also the first year for the tacoma to have the all weather flooring

i had rubber flooring in my 1989 Chevy S10 and loved it... you really have to be careful how you take care of it, you don't want to use anything too slick... i actually had a friend slip right out and onto the ground lol

Yeah wtf is that such a hard truck to find in Colorado In the end I settled for an automatic since I wanted a locker more than the manual but I really wanted both.

I'm not impressed with the all weather mats that came with my '12. I really want WeatherTech floor liners however they don't offer them yet.

The Weather Tech floor liners for the 2011 Tacoma won't work with the new retention knobs for the 2012.

Please if you're interested or if you would like to help. Request floor liners for the weather techs through their website: http://www.weathertech.com/service/product-request-form/

Hopefully if a bunch of us request the new floor liners for 2012 Tacoma they will expedite a new design to work with the factory retention system.

    Thanks in advance

Guys, AFAIK you can't get the DC in a 6spd anymore. When I bought my '09, DC's were all auto's. I went with the AC option anyways, I didn't want the DC.

Back to the topic at hand, that's a f-ing sweet option. I'd much rather rubber flooring than carpeted. It's not a luxury car Toyota, c'mon! Give us some real truck options.

I bought my DC new off the lot in May down in Colorado Springs with a 6-speed. I'm not sure about the 2012 but if it is available and with the rubber floor along with other options it would possibly give me incentive to trade in depending on the costs.

I'm with you on the floor, that was one of the options I really liked in the Dodge Rams when I was looking at new trucks, I wish the Tacoma's had that option for 2011.

it's amazing how a rubber/vinyl floor was once a base model only option (other manufacturers).... toyota has somehow turned it around and made it a "luxury" option....

don't get me wrong, it would be extremely nice to have. i see toyota and toyota websites getting a ton of requests for them once they become readily available.

I am in the process of requesting as I want the WeatherTech liners in my new 2012 Tacoma doublecab. I just traded in an F150 Lariat and I'm giving away cheap my liners that I bought last year for about $200. They are worth every penny as they are practically indestructible. My Tacoma came with the carpeted mats and I'm using them as they are better than nothing. Thanks for the heads up.

I would definitely choose the rubber mats over the carpeted ones in my new 2012 Tacoma DC, however, I still am willing to pay WeatherTech for theirs when available. They are seemingly indestructible and I'm very hard on the floor mats.

I purchased a 2003 Saturn L200 new for a work car, it was three years before I could even buy parts for the car. I hope it's sooner than that that we can get stuff for our 12s. Still have the Saturn with 256,000 miles, three sets of tires, one fuel pump, three sets of plugs some air filters and lots of oil changes. It's never been in the shop," I did the fuel pump! " That,s how I plan my Tacoma to go!

I just picked up my AC 2012 with all weather flooring, it's a $50 option and suits my needs perfectly, no carpet anywhere. I'll just throw some all weather mats on top.

why would people want carpet floors in their vehicle anyways?

People have carpet in their house for the feel of carpet, automotive doesn't make sense.

I hate carpet...in the house or truck.

I'm currently building a new home, we have reclaimed heart pine wood floors THROUGHOUT. and I mean throughout...including kitchen & bathrooms and laundry room. We also had pine floors in our last home. But this time we found this "reclaimed heart pine"...and it looks freaking AWESOME!!!

I despise the carpet in my Tacoma. Even w/ the weathertechs plenty of dirt (sand) gets under the mats, through the hold down hooks (what rocket scientist designed this?) and around the foot rest on the drivers floor. Again what rocket scientist at weathertech designed the liner to only cover 1/2 of the foot rest?

I just may rip out the carpet and buy the factory vinyl/rubber flooring.

I also an mot a fan of the cloth seats, if I keep the truck long term...I'd love to have them reupholstered in some kind of easy care vinyl.

The good thing about carpeting is it cuts down on interior noise. Any word if this rubber flooring is availible or not?

I had the dealers search high and low for my truck. It took a few months since there are so few with the vinyl floor, but I ended up finding the exact truck I wanted.
Love the vinyl floor. With a big hairy German Shepherd, it's the only way to go!

This is the FL option....I have it in my new 2012AC....no package needed I got it without the sport or offroad pkge....its great if u go on the beach and fish like I do...a wetdry vac sucks up everything when u get home...carpets in a truck just plain SUCK...

"The good thing about carpeting is it cuts down on interior noise"
Wrongo ! they put some kind of rubber noise dampening material beneath the vinyl/composite floor...it kills any noise..my cab ride is just as silent as any with carpet....
