Summer Overland Expo trip through Nevada.

Jasmine and i have have time off from work for the the July 28/29 dates. we're also taking her younger brother with us for this trip, i think we're all excited to be coming up from L.A. to enjoy some overland adventures through Nevada. can't wait for this trip!

we are also thinking of heading across into Utah to check out Zion National park and finally into Arizona for the Grand Canyon and cutting through Las Vegas

sub'd. This looks like a good trip shaping up! I'm hoping I can make this one but I'll have to remain a maybe for now as I don't know what my work load will be in two months. I really enjoy the expo style trips and I've been wanting to come up and meet some of the Northern NV/NorCal folks!

 

My trip to ID is definitely looking like it's going to happen, so this run may not be doable for me. Still not concrete on dates yet so don't know about overlaps. I was just noticing there's a gaping hole in the thread poll for the weekend of Aug 4-5th. As the OP is in the Coast Guard and that's the annual drunken bash for the service's birthday, I can see why he may not have included it. But, since the OP is AWOL, does that weekend strike a chord with anyone? I know for a fact I can make that one. Just tossing it out there.

 

Im planning on going. I just started a new job though and need to see if I can get off. Si no promises.

Hi Gary we are doing OK.
They are talking about a different trip this is farther East. But you could aways take HLT on the way home.

 

Looks like I won't be able to make it. I will likely be headed down to Bishop area to do some camping sometime in september though! Also hoping to run up and do some camping in Nor cal so hopefully I can meet some of ya'll then.

For the 28th and 29th right? If so, I'm still down. Are we going to be on technical trails or just open desert?

 

I thought this thread/trip had sort of died a slow and unnatural death. All of my travel plans are on hold right now pending resolution af an injury to the pup. Once he's back up, then I'll be ready to roll again. I'm still down for a run if everything works out.

A September trip down to Bishop would be pretty sweet as well!
