I ran the FK JMX heims because those are by far the best rod ends hands down. They're a lot more expensive but they won't give out. Now I am going to try these injection mold ones but I have a feeling I'm going to be disappointed.

Would be nice to convert the rear shocks too, normally those things squeak to high heaven, lol.

What did the conversion consist of? Most of the UCA arms I have seen have fixed ends with bushings. Seems like you would need to cut the arms and use a fixture to put the new ones in the right spot..

    Pics?

Anybody have any recommendations on where to get optima batteries for a good price?

Or maybe even a battery the same size (I built custom battery trays in the trunk of my Camaro so only those fit!) that I can use that wont kill my wallet.

I wanted to get a pair of yellow tops, but for 2 of them I would need to pay over $400 dollars, thats just not right, lol.

Since I am strapped for cash at the moment I might just need to buy 1 for now and just live with it, but the extra weight of the batteries help traction, I guess I will just stick the other dead one back in for weight...

Anyway if anybody has a lead on good prices, or alternatives please let me know, I do not have an extra $400+ just for gdamn batteries!!

If I have to I will make new battery trays, but the ones I have are fully welded in and super badass, that would be a shame....lot of work went into those.

I just cant see spending that much for 2 batteries, I will just have to live with either 1 optima for 2 standard batteries, I mean there is no real point to having optimas, they didnt last any longer than a standard battery, but cast over 2x as much!

Since I have battery trays I will probably just get 1 and should be fine, I mean Cmon the car has an alternator, 2 looks cool but really isnt necessary..

    I need cheaper hobbies!! :(

Is there a general pay scale? I know its DOE but just curious if there is a specific range..the job description looks like it was written specifically for me, haha.

How extreme have you gone with it, once you go past certain tolerances things begin to break and consitently because they were not desgined to support the addons.

I think he was referring to the Heims...but yeah the yellows are nice, but I am not convinced that its over $100 nicer than a standard battery, and i dont plan on using it upside down so a regular one should suffice.

I am not competing in stereo competitions, dont have any extra lights, just the fuel injection, coil, and some other assorted electronics. So due to financial constraints I will probably get a single battery and deal with it, since the trays are custom prolly just get a single yellow top and call it good.

You are correct, on heims its better to use good ones, but there are tons of fake ones out there too nowadays, gotta know your sources..

Is it a square battery or is it shaped like an optima?
