    Maybe a half inch, if that. I can't squeeze my fingers under there, if that tells you anything.

    It's directly over those two studs. I think I'm going to definitely glue some rubber washers together to make some bushings and then slide them over those studs with some more adhesive on the bottom, and have the compressor rest on that.

    Quick trip to the hardware store after work tomorrow...

    So what you're looking at here is like 16 rubber washers from Lowes RTV'd together in a stack:

    I just glued this fucker underneath the compressor on the fender sheetmetal of the engine bay. I sized it before hand and it was a wedge fit. I had to tweak the compressor and airbox up slightly to get it in place, and once I let 'em back down on it, it was basically held in place by force alone. Adding ahesive to keep it rooted should do the job. It'll support the compressor from below and prevent any excessive lash during offroad bumps. Upon re-evaluating things today, I'm pretty sure this wasn't needed. That airbox is a solid unit, mounted solidly. The only reason it has a tiny bit of play is there are bushings between the airbox mounting bolts/nuts and sheetmetal to prevent vibration.
