    Thanks

I couldn't do this job if I built cookie cutter homes , too boring

The herringbone soffit corner is a nice look , but is also functional , because there is no mitred ends , and all the connections are square , there is less issues with expansion and contraction because boards don't move very much along their length .

Yeah , I use my Tacoma , but most of my stuff stays put at jobsites for months , I'm the GC , so first in , last to leave

If I was a mercenary carpenter I would definitely have a van

I always hated hanging doors....I was more than happy installing cabinets and doing counter tops all day long though.

I like that mercenary carpenter. That's funny. Your not such a DB after all OZ

I got a small office. And have 4 guys in the field so I don't think quite qualifies me as a mercenary carpenter , At least my van doesn't say "handy man" on the side

I love the doors & windows...

I installed 10 new construction vinyl windows Saturday...

And currently I'm installing interior doors in the new home.

    I AM, the door king.

I hang the crap out of them. Interior...Exterior...6/8...8/0...transoms...sidelights...

I have not had much experience finding others who can hang a door properly. There is more to it than stick-it-in-the-hole-and-shim-and-nail....

I use shims and levels to install all windows...including new construction type with the flange...like those I installed Saturday.

Even being particular as hell (it's my own home)...and taking my time in scorching heat...

It took approx 10-15 minutes per window to install.

anyone who installs a window w/o a level...reguardless of ethnicity...is not a professional in my book, and would not be allowed near any of my projects.

    Larry
