Just ordered the billy 5100s for all four corners. Stoked!

Question 1: kind of dumb to ask now (always been trigger happy), but if I were to want to do a 3" lift down the road will I be able to use the 5100s.

Question 2: will I be sacrificing ride quality if I set the fronts at 1.75? 1.75 is the setting to level out the truck, right?

    yes
    &
yes from my understanding but not sure how much or if its measurable.

if you did your 3" lift you would need to set your 5100's at 0. you also would need a source of lift in the rear.

I'm looking to buy the 5100's for my 2007 4x4 double cab sport. If you don't mind me asking, where is the best place to buy them from, and how much did you pay for them?

you can adjust before install, but not while they have a spring on them.

Nope its a ring around the piston that has to be moved. Springs have to be decompressed and removed. Far more adjustable than new shocks though :D

Haha well dang. I'm just worried if I set them at 2.5 inches I'm not gonna like the way my truck looks with only 265/75/16s

    1. buy bigger tires.
    2. remove and set it at a lower setting.

The bigger issue is whether or not you can get it aligned right at 2.5". I could not.

So, I took out the shocks to inspect and prepare for my install. Is there a special tool that is needed to adjust the shocks to the different lengths (.85, 1.75) or does that piece just slide down, turn, and set in place?

Mine are supposed to be at my house by 12. I've been wondering the same thing. Also I wanna put mine on tonight but because of work I won't be able to get an alignment till Saturday. Will I be fine to drive on it till then?

It just snaps into whatever height you want. No tools needed for that part.

Make sure you don't install the spring perch upside down, it's very common. If installed correctly, the perch should look like a bell shape.

Thanks! Is there any problem running the 5100s with the stock sr5 coils?
