I believe the insurance will pay the claim up to the amount covered. Not sure about fixing the wall though, need to check the coverage. The OP might end up paying out of pocket for anything not covered.

I'm in the insurance industry (commercial property and general liability coverage), but I can tell you that if your policy was effective when the wreck occurred, regardless of the fact that you were drunk, they will cover the losses. Unless they have a DWI clause (very unlikely). In that case, they will only cover the liability aspect of the wreck and only pay for damages (bodily, property, etc) to the other harmed parties involved and not pay you for your personal losses. < THIS IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. Most likely they will pay the homeowner for their damages and losses and pay you for your losses. FYI...expect to only get about 70% of the KBB on your ride. Then, they will probably tell you to scram after that, and you will be marked as a "high risk" in the insurance industry for about 3 years and probably will have to get a DUI/DWI insurance policy in the future.

This is not a guarantee, so don't get your hopes up. This is solely based on my knowledge of insurance and of the laws here in TX.

In addition, we all make mistakes (especially when we are young), it's learning from those mistakes that separate the wise from the idiots. Glad you are ok and didn't kill anyone. I hope all works out for you and that you learn from this and help prevent others from making the same mistake in the future.

I'm in insurance as well (Excess and Surplus) all I can say is Ditto.
They will cover the wall and the amount owed and your truck. If you have some equity in your truck you might see a percentage of it. You can be sure that the victim and the lean holder on your truck will see the monies first.

I have strong feelings about drinking and driving. As a Medic I see the aftermath all the time. As a human I don't understand it.

I'll say this. You should feel VERY lucky you didn't kill anyone. Especially a kid that could have been playing behind that wall.

And I'll be the dick who says this. This should get you banned. TW doesn't tolerate people talking about street racing. They should definitely NOT tolerate people who drink and get behind the wheel

OP, as much as I hate drinking and driving, I am not going to flame you - there has been enough of that. Hopefully you, and others who read this knowing that they also sometimes drink and drive, learn from this.
Fessing up and posting here is actually a good thing so others can learn from it. Maybe they and you will make better decisions in the future, then this post was worth the flaming.

    Remember:
    Good decisions comes from experience
    experience comes from bad decisions

Keep us updated on what happens it will be a good lesson for others.

When you were sited for your DUI did they give you a court date?
Do you have any priors? I would defiantly get your self a lawyer. You might not think you need one but you do.
