Hey B Lang what's up with Cuesta... I was reading that they're "accreditation" is not looking good. I'm supposed to interview for a job there in August but if they don't get it together by January they may lose accreditation...... And funds... And close. Ultra sketchy :[

Any of you guys ever gone up East Camino Cielo all the way up to the Gilbraltar Reservoir? I'm thinking about making a trip up that way this week cause google maps makes it look like there are quite a few trails, even looks like there might be some sort of figure 8 "track". :notsure:

Ya did it a couple weeks back its an alright dirt road but its more like euro rally than offroading didn't see a track but we were doing it at night. We went back as far as you could with the trails that were open and it dead ended at a hot spring

thats awesome!!! i was taking to my parents about starting a VW bus project.[/QUOTE]

Yeah a bus is definately sweet especially for beach trips But i prefer my bug less space but the roof rack helps

I would do a build you could spend a lot of money or just a little depends on how far you want to go

I bought my bug for 1800 and have about 600 into it.....and it has a laundry list of new parts most of which came with the 1800 i bought it for

Now i have to drop like 400-500 to rebuild the motor so this is definately a good buget build and its was pretty reliable before it lost compression

I've done quite a few VW projects in my days. Completely rebuilt the 61 bus from the ground up. They are fun to work on and fun to drive. Everything is so simple!
