Georgetown Says It hid 'Jesus' by Obama's request

#1) people on here always quip that he's a secret muslim, etc
#2) it IS a private university....if they wanted him to speak and didnt want to do as he asked, they should have told him not to come...simple as that
#3) all i said was that both sides could learn from that movie...unlike most people on here, he has his facts straight against both sides

 

i've even done my research after that movie and seen where Thomas Jefferson wanted a "wall" between church and state...and even wrote up "laws" for Virginia back in the day to protect prople from religious persecution. George Washington never took a communion, left early from church, and stoped going altogether on those days when he was slapped on the wrist for not doing it.

EDIT: and i never said that they themselves had no religion....i stated they wanted the seperation and no national religion...big difference in none at all

nah...where we previously got our laughs left almost 3 months ago...lol

 

i'm not against religion, but it shouldnt be a component of how the government, federal or state, is run when the freedom of religion saves people that have no religion

and to the off topic, us fayettenamians are convoying out tomorrow at 2pm to head to URE. all differences aside, which they should be, u should come out man. gonna be some drunken fun, riding, fishing, shooting, etc. i'll be bringing out the .44 ruger super blackhawk w/ the 10 1/2" barrel (it was my dads for boar hunting). see....not anti-gun here either...lol

 

ahh....understandable. we still have ppl driving up sat morning, riding, then going home. i guess even the riding can be a reason to attend a meet...

 

the US "shouldnt" use religion as a basis to run the country...but when a president says that:

“No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered as patriots. This is one nation under God.”


it seems a lil biased.
