    And ^_^ ... Being rated at over 200+ more HP than the 6265, it still has the same exterior dimensions, so it will bolt right up without having to modify any of my existing tubing. Major plus!!!

    As well, it gives me enough power capacity to be able to handle the loss through drive train, to still be able to put down the whp I am striving for. :D

    It is a monster for sure! I plan on the .84 A/R, non divided turbine housing to start with. See where it puts the start of my power band.

    I am also waiting on the results from my friends at www.Horsepowerfreaks.com to finish their build on one of their M3's with that exact turbo. Even though it is a 3.2 L engine, it will give me a rough idea of what kind of power output to expect from mine. :D

    Yeah. The AWD portion will be freaking sweet. Only problem is the factory front diff has all sorts of vibration. So i have to upgrade it to a hopefully an Eaton tru trac up front. I haven't checked in years if they did finally make that for the front diff though.

    Everything else to make it AWD, at this point, is a cake walk. ;)

    Are you going to use the stock diff up front or are you gonna swap it out for a 4Runner full time 4wd front diff? I've also seen builds where they have used Supra diffs up front and custom fab'd front suspenison

    Well, like I had mentioned before, when I had chatted with Eaton on the phone, they said that they were in the process of making a TrueTrac for the front diff of the '05+ Tacomas. I hope that is true, but looking at this PDF. link, I am left with uncertainty. Seems I will need to give them a call again to be certain, as the last time I talked with them was quite a few years ago.

    My plan is to use the TrueTrac up front, while having a BorgWarner AWD transfer case mated to my T56. Seeing that www.rsgear.com has done this before, it is the easiest route to go. Being an AWD transfercase, my truck would then be the equivalent of a WRX or Evo. :D

    That is a bit off in the future though.... sometime next year.

    I certainly hope the engine will be back before you leave bro. If it is, then we will have to hit up Japan again. ;)

    Did some discussing with the member Theduck911 about various axles for the rear. I have narrowed it down to either a Currie 9" or Ford 9" with internals. Seeing as how cheap a used housings are, the Ford 9" might just be the way to go. Time and research will tell.

    Also, I recently deposited a down payment on my new upgrade turbo. Precision 6466. Horsepower Freaks.com recently installed one on one of their customer's cars. They really liked how well it performed. Spooled quicker than the 6766 that they normally use, as well as made more HP per same psi as the 6766.

    Doing some proportionality math, a 3.2 litre E46 M3 engine made 605 whp @ 18psi. Assuming everything else is the same, that would mean that my 4.0 litre would hypothetically make 750 whp.

    I am using that for reference in that I expect in a lowest output of 600 whp at 15 psi. Which is my current psi level. Should feel very nice. As 475 is how the truck should have come from the factory. ;)


    Did some work with Dezod.com to get ARP flywheel bolts for our trucks. So I am waiting on the word from Paul as to when those will be ready. :D

    Jumping further ahead of the progression of this build thread, I am patiently awaiting a call from Darton East on the progression of my block. As they have all components in hand: rods, pistons, gaskets, head studs, forged crank, sleeves. The only parts missing from that list are ARP main studs, and the custom girdle which they are making. I have my fingers crossed that they will have it completed by the end of this month. Just not going to hold my breath on that.

    750 is my ultimate goal, but I highly doubt that just bolting on the turbo will get it there. Besides, I need to improve other components of the system still.

    Finish the fueling; get the twin disk clutch; and install the custom intake manifold that is currently being made. :D
