Forgivable would be him not being punished. He's been charged with DUI and it's up to the justice system to prove him guilty. Our comments saying he screwed up and doesn't need knee jerk reactions from people riding a moral high horse isn't what the context of the word condoning means. I don't think anyone here thinks drinking and driving is a good idea.

Ok, as far as I'm concerned he never offended or hurt me personally in the first place. I'm not going to judge a guy I don't know. That's the justice systems job not mine. He said he screwed up, everyone here agrees. He'll be punished and learn his lesson.

By your logic we should never "condone" anyone who's ever made a mistake? So, basically, I should hold resentment against every single person in the world.

Uhh no. I let the court's deal with criminals and like to think people convicted of the crime get their punishment and have to deal with it including the criminal record and hurt careers.

The whole reason you got bent out of shape is because people were telling him to learn his lesson and for everyone to stop being hypocrites pretending they've never done anything wrong.

But that would make taking it out on somehow who admitted to doing so. There are more people on here who have done it and gotten away with it. No reason to ban him for doing something like so.
