    Has anyone ever had issues with leaving a deposit for a vehicle then not getting it back once vehicle comes in, or they try to change up the deal once vehicle does come in??

    Well I have a buyers order for a 2012 DCSB Sport in Magnetic Gray Metallic for 29,300 OTD. Bad news is that it doesn't come in till 8/16/12 and they want a $500 deposit.

    Also we got an offer on our house today so if it is accepted by the bank we will be moving middle to end of August or 1st part of Sept. so a little sketched about tying up 500 bucks and have something get fucked up and losing that money.
    Especially when we don't have 1st and deposit till closing on our house but need to be moved out by closing date.

    So u can see why I am nervous!!!

    i hear ya, you got big things happening, congrats on selling your house, are you still staying in the area? yea i know dealers can be pretty shady, but I wouldn't think it'd be a problem, if it makes u feel better, did you ask if you can leave deposit with a credit card?

    Whatever you do, i would be certain that they give you something in writing that indicates that you put the deposit down, how much you put down, and exactly what you are getting with that deposit so nothing will change after the fact. Even though i work at a dealer, i dont trust the sales people as far as i can kick them.
