    actually i checked and i get better mpg on a 1st gen 3.4 with premium. so actually in the long run its cheaper because i can drive more miles on a tank before a fillup

    If you have a auto trans and had your gas pedal recall done mainly the reflash some stated you will need a new PCM at one point.

    Some other info poppred up stating TRD fixed the program to work with the recall flashed pcms.

    I followed the post for a bit but lost track of it.

    Not sure if this effects your or if any others know the status on this.

    Yeah, it was a lot of $$$, but I am OK with it. Driving normally is a little easier now. I remember this one hill before I got on the highway every morning and the Tacoma would try not to downshift to the point where the truck would almost be shaking. This is at about 45mph and running really low RPM. Now it just climbs the hill and it never even shows signs of struggling.

    I would always like more power, I have had some high power turbo charged cars recently so the cravings are there. But I have to remember the warranty and I don't want to push the vehicle yet because it's obviously my daily driver.

    Yeah, I would do it again!
