Walmart is running a promotion that'll ship Pitbull (the Rapper) to whatever Walmart gets the most FB "Likes"

Some internet folk came up with the brilliant idea to send him to Kodiak, Alaska's walmart. Google it. It's hella far from everything.

Click this Link to go like the page, and that's it. Anyone down? [IMG]

It actually happened... and word on the street, it happens to be during my time that i'm TDY up here. I was stationed in kodiak for 2 years before this and other than a few coasties and a hand full of locals, i don't think most of the people know who he is.

    This should be fun...

It's been two years since i was stationed there but if Kodiak reacts to Pitbull like we did when they built a Taco Bell/KFC combo there will be a riot.

Good thing Kodiak Police Department just opened their brand new station. I even saw a few heavy duty response trucks sitting in the back parking lot of it. They might have a excuse to use them.

Been 11. I remember making PMEL flights to Anchorage and loading up on Tacobell.

I think it was 2000 when the Walmart and Blockbuster went in. I do remember that the Mongolian BBQ place on Mill bay and Kings Diner for the Saturday and Sunday morning hangover breakfasts!

It gets colder in kodiak than it does in anchorage I'm pretty sure. I know they have more severe weather being an island and all. Anchorage gets cold but....just last month if I'm not mistaken kodiak saw a foot of snow overnight. It didn't stay long but...it's June....
