I am Para Inf. I did fly L-19`s and UH-1B`s in combat.
At least I got them off the ground.
I did not always bring them back.

Ouch.... how is your back these days?

Too bad you didn't have an ACES II in your ride?

My back is OK. I caught the golden BB and was shot down. I was cargo. The pilot broke his leg. But other than that, the crash was uneventful.
    Gunships picked us right up.

    Getting back to cars..........
I have had several fast cars and motorcycles in the last 20 years, but a truck can keep you and get you out of trouble.
You can see ahead to avoid traffic. You can jump a curb when needed :D
So just try that with a sports car.
I am currently selling my 2007 ST1300 ABS on EBAY in the avatar and trading for a Enduro type motorcycle because it is always nice to have more options and make your own path, and not have to follow the leader when you stuck.:)

I learned to drive on my dads old Chevy pickup, and a 95 Dodge Ram (new at the time), but have been driving various cars since I purchased my first vehicle round 11 years ago, and it's never felt quite right. I still love going home for the holidays when I get to drive his (now old) Ram. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of a pickup permanently.

I'd like to see it! This is my Trumpet, still the most beautiful bike I have ever seen or owned and I'll probably never sell it.

It's been a huge change to the Tacoma for me. My last car was an Audi with about 10k worth of go-fast and turn-on-a-dime mods. I had to avoid certain roads because of potholes and I couldn't turn into certain parking lots because the entrances were too steep. Although that car was a blast to drive on a smooth surface, would light the tires up through 3rd gear, and could rail corners like nobody's business, I love my Tacoma and hope to keep it for a long time.

I was considering getting another BMW or a pickup. Went with the pickup for practicality, affordable insurance (still $250 a month), and off road fun. If you feel the need for speed, please keep it off the streets. Civics are not sports cars but "sporty" cars and definitely fun. Sports cars are RWD and, by the most fundamental sense of the term, 2 seaters and completely impractical. I run a supercharged, coilovered, caged, completely worked Miata in SCCA Solo 2. Civics clean up here too and it is a good way to get the octance out of your system in a controlled off road environment. I get my on road kicks from my carbon-footprint-offset, an '08 Ninja 250. Not too fast but still quick enough to scare you. After owning a motorcycle I am not sure if I will ever waste money on a sports car again, aside from autocross. My friends tell me a $30k 3 or 1 series would be a lot of fun and practical but I retort that a Ducati would be even better.:D OH! almost forgot my '65 Mustang, that will be a fun cruising car if I ever get it done. But I have been saying that since I bought it nearly a decade ago.

none but please give me your info.
I have always owned sports car. I have owned several 500+ RWHP car's and buying a taco was a huge change. I talked it over with the wife and she came to the conclusion that I will never change. I make a good living and can afford a few toys. So I bought another mustang yesterday so now I have a hobbie again. the taco is cool, but there is nothing like a big loppy cam sitting in traffic
