I got my first 4x4 in 1972...haven't been without one! I still like Chrome!
Almost all the 4x4 reg cabs around are are the base truck. The SR5
reg cab 4x4 is very hard to find. Don't know why.

Broken and scratched tailgate, cracked rear tail light lens, coffee stain in driver seat.
They are rare around here also, I am fearful that Toyota will get rid of them b/c of the popularity of the other cab options. :(

I couldn't agree more, I think it's the best looking truck on the road, and your right about tradition, it started it all. It was what I was looking for in the beginning of my search, but my truck came along and it was such a good deal I could not pass it up. Could you imagine a reg. cab, V-6, TRD off road, with an s/c, I'm getting goosebumps ! :burnrubber:

yeah I wish they made the reg cab with a v6 I would have bought that if they did.
I didn't want an extended cab I dont like the way they look I think the reg cab looks way better.

Regional thing maybe? Plenty of regular cab 4x4s around Denver. My dealer had 5 on the lot when I got mine back in December.

Yeah probably a lot mroe peeps in colorado want a 4x4 than in texas or cali. I had a hard time finding mine too. I didn't really want a white one but it was all I could get without waiting.

I love the reg cab, I'm getting a double cab cause I need the cab space. But I love the looks of the reg cab, I wish they offered it in 4x4 TRD sport V6 manual 6 speed. That would be THE SHIT!!

I like regular cabs, but i think they should offer one with more options. V6 and TRD regular cab would be awesome.

it seems that a lot of us have the same ideas for the reg. cab modle.

in about 2-3 years im planing on swaping the I4 to a V6 along with adding the 4x4 t.case just to be able to us the low range gearing. for my needs i dont need 4x4 and have seen some rangers use this idea on 2wd truck.

I love my 08 Reg Cab 4x4, when we got it, it was the only one on a brand new dealership (Fox Toyota In Clinton TN). Therefore my choice for color was white and umm white. I wish the seats had the fold down mid-console every other Reg cab truck has it (Ford, Chevy/GMC, Doge) TRD would be awesome, hopefully i can post some pics soon

One question what are the spaces under the headlights where on the other modles are lights, i take it is a space to put in fog lights, can you do that and have any of you done that?

Feel luck they dont even produce the 4x4 reg cab in Canada, I picked my 05 reg cab 4x4 taco up in florida, I love the truck, and forget the V6 I love the 5 speed 4 cylinder, she purrs on the highways gettin my 26mpg, and hauls ass on the backroads, and tractor trails, and gets my but through traffic quickly, its a breeze to park in tight areas, and it hauls all my Framing tools air compressor and all on a daily basis, only thing I want for my 4 banger is a Dang SUPERCHARGER!!!!!
