i have a 07 Taco (bought in April 07) and i still have the same battery. I've noticed lately that i'll get inconsistent starts. Most of the time it takes a few more cranks to start then it used to.

I'm wondering if its time for a new battery? i haven't had it tested yet and i also should check the liquid levels inside. Just wondering how long you all lasted on your first battery

Feb 07 and still going strong. We have similar weather here in New Orleans. If you're having problems now, just wait till the Summer heat hits it.

Most of my trips are at least 25 miles and I think that helps keep the battery maintained.

hmmm...i drive to and from work mostly, 8miles at a time. If i'm working out in my garage i usually play my radio from the truck for an hour or so at at time. ususally takes alittle longer to crank but eventually starts up. maybe i should check the liquid levels in the battery

i bought a 2003 Acura RSX Type S back in 2005. The battery just died this past winter (Minnesota). That particular car lasted 6 years and I'm hoping for the same on this truck.

Still on the factory one here. The heat here usually kills them in 2 or 3 years, so I'm sure it will be done after this summer. Had to replace my mom's in her 05 Lexus last year, and my wife's in her 06 Murano last year as well.

    Nothing yet, brand new!
May 06 here. Factory battery but it's cranking over slower nowadays. I've also put mine in the garage for several weeks at a time without driving it and that doesn't help.

You should get one of those Battery Tenders.Keeping a battery fully charged keeps them going for many years.Truck sitting causing discharging and charging is what kills a battery.
My truck sits a few days at a time, sometimes more than a week.I have a Battery Tender and would use it but I don't use the garage.

I think every battery I have ever had lasted right about the 5 year mark, didn't matter if I bought 60 month or 72 month they all lasted about the same

Original battery in my '98 4Runner lasted around 8 years, and almost 200,000 miles... On the way home from a trip to Moab in the summer, it finally gave out. I must have boiled that fucker, because it was giving off an awful sulfur odor, so I stopped and replaced it right away.
