Tim Hortons commands 76% of the Canadian market for baked goods (based on the number of customers served) and holds 62% of the Canadian coffee market (compared to Starbucks, in the number two position, at 7%).[8]

Nice job on the replacement HU install.

One of the things I like most about the Tacoma in the ease in which an aftermarket sound system upgrade is accomplished. Lots of different sources for everything you need and the space in the Tacoma to make it happen.

The only drawback is the loss of space if you are placing some thump in the mix. But that is true of almost all vehicles when installing a separate bass speaker with enclosure.

I know, and now all I need is the adapter wiring harness which literally plugs right in, then I'll have to install an Aux port somewheres in the vehical. Thinking I might skip doing an Aux though and go straight for a charging Ipod hookup. Be much more beneficial to me in the long run.

Do you have space for the AUX plug above the shifter console?

Yes, but I still think I'd rather route it underneat and into the center consol, outta site outta mind. Plus then I can keep my cupholders free. Though the pocket area in front of the shifter isn't a bad idea either, and then it's more easily accessible and no trying to open center while driving.

    hmmm...

The junk yard could be your friend if you can find out what other Toyota vehicles used the module. Not too many 2nd gen Tacoma's in the JY yet. Another 3 years or so and they will be showing up in the JY.

    June 2012:

A few months ago someone decided it'd be a great thing to rip out my Radio antenna from my hood, leaving behind half the length of the screw in portion still broken off inside the hole.

So I finally got a hold of a 1/16 drill bit and a cordless drill, drilled a slot into the antenna piece still inside the hole and used a flat head screw driver to get the old piece out. Upgraded to a sexy new black "Cravenspeed" Antenna :D

I noticed I was getting a lot of sideways movement across the idler pulley next to my S/c. It was actually moving slightly off the pulley by a few millimeters then going back on. Over time this had caused a rounding of the inner edge of my pulley and damage to the belt leaving some pieces of belt rubber melted into the grooves of my slotted pulleys. I bought a new belt, new pulley, and used a flat head to clean every groove of every pulley on my engine. Also finally increased from the 76mm Idler to the new 82mm in order to add tension and remove slipage. I wanted an 80mm but they didn't have one.

Oh well, we'll see how well it works.

So I'm running the new combo (belt, pulley, cleaned pulleys) for about 24 hours and I lift the hood to check for wear and notice I've got a slight melted groove showing up on the brand new belt.

After some looking around I discover that another idler pulley on the opposite side of my engine has a fried bearing (probably from the shit and abuse I put it through) and it was overheating causing the belt to get soft. New OEM pulley was 101$

I ended up returning it because I'm going to get another plastic one to help with heat dissipation.
And it'll be lighter too :D

So it seems that your bearings in your factory idler pulleys seem to be wearing out?

Which idler pulley was it that went bad? One of the ones which bolt to the timing cover, or the one that is a tensioner as well?

The timing cover one has already been replaced, the new one that seems to be over heating is the idler near top right of engine, the flat faced one. I'm going to replace it with a plastic one first, see if it works out. If not, I'll check out your link, thanks! :D
