    Yup, those are the hoses you see coming off the back of it, I routed everything around the left side of the engine bay, down next to windshield wippers, next to headlight, down to lower valence radiator.

    ?? If your looking at a front pic, with the little cooler on the top right, then yes that is the S/c oil cooler.

    July 23:

    Ordered 2 more belts and 6 Boost rated spark plugs from URD. Been running the same stock plugs since long before I was boosted, time for my 100,000 km tune up.

    July 29/2012:

    About a month ago I noticed my passenger side valve cover was leaking oil. Which unfortunately is the side right below all my supercharger components. So I set aside a day to rip it apart at my leisure, all in all only took about 3 hours.

    It was a good thing I had to do this repair too! With the intercooler off, I found out one of the hoses had been rubbing up against the main wiring harness near the firewall. Thank god I found this out before it cause any damage. It had just finished rubbing through the covering, but not the wiring yet.

    Found the reason it started leaking, slightly mis-shapen factory gasket. You can see the deformation near the corner if you look closely:

    Everything put back together and properly torqued closed, I figured I'd inspect my throttle body for shitz n giggles:

    Completely spotless at 110,000 kms. Joys of having my 7th injector spray on it. Self cleaning!! :woot:

    In this picture, you can see the toyota silicone that is on the gasket itself.

    Where that silicone comes from, is the dab that they place over the seem between the timing cover and the head. It helps to seal with the valve cover on.

    Over time though, it becomes hard, as I am sure you noticed whilst doing this job, and then a leak happens.

    It isn't always necessary to add some silicone back there, but if a leak re-occures, then a little dab will make it all better.


    Throttle body - looks like AJAX was there....lol

    Good to know, i noticed the silicone when I had everything apart but the seem imprint into the gasket seemed almost "too much". Hence my factory bad mold idea. I sealed everything back up and havent had an issue yet. *fingers crossed*
