    Also the experiment is not a universal fit - its specific to my DCSB.

    The weather was questionable today - intermittent drizzles - but i did manage to remove the rest of the flares and fender linings from the passenger side.

    Since my shop has kind of converted from "grill mode" to "flare mode" i decided to have at it and get the drivers side fabbed up today.

    I've got a full batch of grills to wrap up so that will be my priority tomorrow - I've since condensed all of the flare material and gotten the shop set up back to grill mode again.:cool:

    My main concern with the front flare was to allow for it to flow with the lines from the Elite plate bumper. Because of that I could not simply section out the 2' along the factory line of the bushwhacker flare.

    I got a bit creative and utilized a section of the oversized bumper parts that I won't be needing to shape it.

    I also used part of the cutoff of the back flare to fill in about a 2 1/2" section of the inside of the flare.

    Here are the results using the untouched passenger flare for comparison purposes:

    I just shot the flare with some filler primer for now -it still needs a little more TLC before it will be ready to paint... I'm pretty sure I'm going to have them color matched.

    Now that I have my current batch of grills complete I switched the shop ofer to "fender flare" mode again this evening.

    This one will take a bit to get set up right because like the front flare, I plan on creating a smooth transition into the bumper.

    I'm trying to work out how is will sit. I'll post more pics tomorrow.

    Also tried FASTENAL for new hardware to replace the "show' bolts. I was shooting for the same button torx head in chrome but an inch longer. They told me a minimum of 70 and with shipping it would be $180.00 :eek:

    I said I usually get kissed before I get fucked so no thank you!

    Gonna do some more searching online this evening.

    I'm still not 100% on the transition at the rear of the flare, but here you can really see how much bedside is gone with that High Clearance rear bumper...
