I am Tomoko..I am originally from Okinawa prefecture of Japan and also in Shizuoka. I have been living off and on in the United States most of my life. I reside in the state of Washington. I now have my license to drive. I have 2004 two wheel drive S-Runner Tacoma 5-speed Manual.

I am now in the USA permanently most likely because of research program for a disease i have that it is not well-known in Japan. but here I am able to get help. I have the Crohn's Disease and also Agranulocytosis. it is where my white cell count is dangerously low. I do not know how I got it..but most likely it is a complication from my Crohn's as blood diseases and problems arise. I have to receive blood transfusions because I feel so tired and weak at times.

But I love living here in America. This time hopefully here to stay for good.

Hope to be acquainted with all of you soon!

    -Tomo

Hmmm. A young woman close in our family has it and we have seen the ups and downs as well as its complications.

I didn't know that Crohn's and blood diseases are related. I thought it was mainly an gastrointestinal disorder.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001295/

I also thought that it was well known in Japan. It seems that it's actually increasing according to this article.

Yes it is a GI problem. but many other medical complications can arise. Liver problems, Kidneys. It can be life-threatening. it is also auto-immune disease..my immune system is weakened by this disease. which explain why my white blood cell count continues to drop I get more sick. I almost need blood transfusions monthly because of this dictating my life :(

I'm sorry that you have to go through this, Tomoko. I hope they get to the bottom of this and that you are feeling better.

On a happier note, do you have pics of your truck? :)

i would like to wait until I show you..it had been recently in an accident and the bed had been removed to get repair work. so I have no bed on it right now..thankfully, though, the frame was left unharmed. Yes, it was my FAULT. I felt so stupid and bad, as you americans say, shit happens and I guess it followed me around that day. I found out American Cops are total assholes. Even the owner of the other vehicle wasn't nearly as angry or mean to me like that cop was..he even told the officer that it wasnt necessary to treat me like how he was.
