    One of the guys at work got a Harley a couple of years ago and we couldn't get him to wear a helmet... thankfully he found one he liked, and had started wearing it. Some bozo, un-licensed & un-insured pulled out in front of him and he got free flying lessons. :eek:

    yeah, my only wreck so far came with me playing superman across the pavement because some lady didn't see me and pulled out in front of me. NO gear, just jeans and a long sleeve shirt, no helmet. I got lucky.

    Yup they did. This guy had a license but hadn't been through any motorcycle safety course. Wore a novelty non DOT helmet (turtle shell style), and flip flops! Was riding an R1 sport bike.

    Last one couldn;t miter and the main gear cracked this week. Boss ordered a new gear and a new one that could miter so we have a back up. They seem beefy, but our shop guy said they were middle of the road. All I know is my boss only buys American or German machinery and thats fine by us all.

    Now I just need to learn how to use 1/2 the stuff. I basically have a full metal shop at my disposal from lathes to punches and shears for up to 1/2" plate.
