there is no need in my opinion that the American public needs to own a gun. I mean why would a law abiding, tax paying citizen need a gun? I have never understood that concept. i can maybe see someone keeping one in their house for protection or something but there is no need to be walking around in public with a gun on your side. you know what they say, a big gun is compensation for a small d**k. Just my .02 cents.

If my government and law enforcement is allowed to bear arms against me, and it is my responsibility to overthrow and revolutionize a corrupt government (as stated in the Declaration of Independence), then you better be DAMN sure I'm arming myself to the T.

Your .02 isn't worth shit in the poorest country on earth. The level of stupidity in your opinion on this matter is incredible. Banning weapons in this country is possibly one of the absolute wortst, and most unconstitutional thing that could ever be done. The day may come when a criminal comes into your house threatening your family with possibly an illegal weapon and you will think "dam, if only I had something to protect my family with"

Got to say that's a new one for me...

Hell I think it's BS that the government is telling me how many rounds my guns can fire off per minute.

I'm sure once the ban was put in place all those law abiding criminals will turn their guns in. I'll keep my guns and freedom, you keep the change.

The truth. And this side of the argument is stated over and over yet ignorant anti gun buffs just choose to ignore it and not even consider the logic behind the saftey side of the argument. There are so many weapons in this country it is impossible to "ban" them all. So don't take away the weapons from the law abiding citizens when the criminals will continue to commig crimes with them regardles of the law. You can take my guns over my cold dead body.

how many lives could have been saved if someone in that theater was trained in using a firearm, had it with them and shot the guy in the head before he got more than 10 rounds off? If gun laws were less strict there might be less of these incidents.

The criminal was not even registered with those guns, so he got them illegally. The bad guys are always going to have guns....

This thread should be locked before it goes any further in respect to those who died
