none, there is no best, every speaker will sound different to every person.
you have to either listen to a bunch of different ones, or just pick one you think will sound good and hope for the best

Excellent response. But anything will sound better than OEM, IMO.

Too many to list. See build page. Link in signature
    Focal :D

Their highest product line is several thousand for a single pair of speakers

But for real though, there is no best. Its what you like.

FWIW - make sure that the speaker you select operates at or above the system outputs. If you drive a speaker that isn't suitably matched for your stereo/player output range, you will compromise the speaker overtime, especially when you drive up the volume. Pretty soon, garbled/cracking sounds coming from your speaker.

Speaker quality in my mind is important. In general, I agree that OEM speakers have inferior quality but they are successful driving the speakers because of proper matching. If you upgrade the stereo and keep the OEM speakers, in my experience they die quickly because they were matched for the OEM stereo and not for your aftermarket stereo. You need to tie one to the other for optimal sound quality. And, you might be surprised that a lower cost, lesser known speaker works better with your stereo. Read the specs on each.

There are lots of Techie's out there that know tons more. Find a reputable sales/installation group and do some browsing. Ask tons of questions to make an informed purchase. You might get the intel done there and buy off line if you do the install yourself to save some money.

    Good luck!!

If you have to ask go buy some 40 dollar pioneers, you more than likely wont hear the difference from those to a 300 dollar set of components.
