Mass shooting in Colorado theater....

This has me furious! My prayers go out to all involved...

I stand corrected but either way... It enrages me!

 

The eeriest part of the recounts to me were people saying how at first they weren't sure if it was real or the movie... hopefully I'm not the only one pondering the situation we're in as entertainment seekers.. We go to a movie glamorizing THE SHIT out of exactly what ends up taking place real-time in the theater.... AND THE LINE BETWEEN THE MOVIE AND THE HORRIFICALLY REAL IS NOT CLEAR TO THOSE PRESENT AT FIRST... WOW. What is even sicker is that movie theaters will probably evolve to install smoke machines and flashers, all to "liven" the experience.

The motive of the kid could have been to point this sillyness out.

 

So even if you can imagine the emotions of one of the adults in attendance as they are going through the transition of entertainment to horror..
Now try to imagine the emotional state of the infants and children in attendance that aren't as adept at differentiating between real and fantasy as adults!!
The nightmare these asshole parents are putting their kids through whether the movie does erupt into reality or not! DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO FUCKING BATMAN! Its a nightmare to them!

Hopefully this tragedy has greater impact for change than the other shootings did. I mean really, the kids @ columbine weren't gathering together in a dark room praising and almost worshiping massacre, they were at school, poor kids.

But its a VERY eerie thing to contemplate what these people must have experienced emotionally in those moments as they realized that their movie was becoming real.. especially in those split seconds of uncertainty going back and forth between "wow, great effects and good lord Ive been shot"

 

And when I say that I hope this has greater impact for change I mean this:

I always find it funny when people are so quick to say "A mentally healthy adult can differentiate between these horrific movies we watch and reality." Well, my opinion concerning that is this: Maybe for the earlier adult, where this High Definition glamorization of massacre is new in their lifetime.. But what about these kids that are now adults, but this sick form of SHOCK entertainment has been what theyve grown up in!? Please folks, realize that the difference EMOTIONALLY (which is what matters) between reality and fantasy is not so cut and dried. Again, this truth is what these movie goers experienced vividly last night as they were determining real-time whether they were actually being shot at or not.

 

I don't want to think about what the investigators are going through. That has to be a very, very difficult job knowing that the families of the deceased are the ones who are probably calling.

That's in addition to the already difficult job they have of doing their investigation.

 

You completely missed the point of that picture in my post, nothing in there even remotely was to start blaming the actor for the events in question.

Just because the guy had sophisticated gear does not mean it was a set up by our government. That's beyond irrational. I am an ordinary citizen, yet I own a firearm, knife, and even body armor. I have access to purchase law enforcement grade tear gas and other materials. Its really not difficult. And the explosives can be purchase black market with a few weeks of research I'm sure. My point is that you don't need to be an FBI agent to purchase these items. Any single one of us on this forum could do it with half a brain. The only hard part is the explosives. Conspiracy BS. Why are people even bringing up shit like that. Who gives a F. Say a prayer for the victims and their families. No one is responsible except the gunman. Not our government, not Obama, not the theater, not the PD, not the ccw'er who didnt fight back... only the shooter. People amaze me.
