    From the best of my knowledge, you don't beat your truck so having your driveshaft crap out that soon sucks. I've heard of plenty of other DS issues, but this is the first I've heard of one cracking. Is this common with these rigs?

    First that the service manager or my tech had heard of it . It was seperating at the joint in the rear driveshaft , right at the carrier bearing location

    Most likely a factory defect , could have been like that for quite a while before I noticed it while I was messing about with my CB

    That makes the third thing Dana supplies for Tacomas to have failed. First were the 1st gen frames. Second were the front driveshafts involved in a recall. Now this.
